NWO:Environmental stress as a generator of heritable variation: assessing the transgenerational consequences of stress for genes, traits and phenotypic selection

This project investigates the heritable (transgenerational) consequences of environmental stress exposure on offspring transcriptomes, phenotypes, and population responses to artificial selection. Using apomictic dandelions as a model, we aim to gain insight in the stress-induced epigenetic contribution to heritable trait variation.
