Their functions include: conducting private investigations for commercial or other establishments and individuals; watching inmates of gaols, reformatories or penitentiaries, seeing to their needs and maintaining discipline; guarding industrial plant, warehouse or other property against fire, theft and illegal entry; performing related tasks.
