Ministers of Religion and Related Members of Religious Orders

Workers in this unit group minister religion to members of their faith and seek to propagate religious doctrines. Their functions include: conducting religious worship, administering the rites of a religious faith or denomination and providing spiritual and moral guidance to the members; propagating religious doctrines in their own or foreign countries; performing other functions associated with the propagation and practice of religions. Members of religious bodies who mainly perform non-religious functions, such as nursing or teaching, are classified elsewhere, for example among Professional nurses (0-71) or Teachers (1-3), as appropriate.
