Carries out research on chemical engineering problems and develops and advises on processes for producing on a commercial scale the chemical or physical transformation of substances, as in the manufacture of chemicals, petroleum derivatives, metals, food products and synthetic materials, designs appropriate manufacturing plant and plans and supervises its construction, operation, maintenance and repair.
