Protestants who are not Calvinists are free to practise their religion. Around 1670 the Lutherans build their second large church in Amsterdam. The Calvinists do not allow them to have a tower, hence the huge dome. The roof is clad with Swedish copper, on which the Swedish king waives the tax. It is a present from a fellow Lutheran.
