Gevelsteen De ring in het diep

Stone tablet showing a rough sea of which a ring with a big stone protrudes. Up in the sky above the water fly some birds. On the lower rim is written DE RINCK IN T DIEP (The ring in the deep). The stone comes from Sint Luciensteeg no. 2 and was given to the K.O.G. in 1901. In 1685 the furrier Tjerk Dieprinck bought the house and garden in Sint Luciensteeg and had it renewed the following year. In 1875 Jonkheer Suasso still signales the original building and mentions two stones with ANNO 1687, the year of completion. Size: 55 x 88cm.
