The neo-rococo style kettle is decorated with rocaille and flower motifs. Unlike eighteenthcentury examples, the kettle is heavily encrusted with ornaments and decorated in symmetrical patterns. The kettle and the spirit stove are joined together by hinges. This enabled the user to pour the water out quite easily without having to lift the heavy kettle full of hot water from the stove.
