Paul s'Jacobs sr. made lots of toys for his children. In 1943 Paul was given a wooden warehouse and the year after, a toy lorry with a trailer. The toy car has gas cylinders, just like many cars on the street. Owing to the shortage of petrol, lots of cars ran on gas. Everything was made from waste materials. During the last winter of the war Paul sr. pulped sugar beet in the vice on his workbench.
