This album was compiled for the widow and eight children of the NSB member Hendrik Koot after his funeral. Koot was seen as a martyr for the National Socialist cause. At his burial on 17 February 1941 a cortege of some 2000 NSB members proceeded via the Singel and the Amstel to the Zorgvliet Cemetery.
