Zwangerschapskorset

A corset was a part of a woman’s wardrobe for hundreds of years. Even pregnant women worse a corset in the first months of their pregnancy to keep their slender waist for as long as possible. Special maternity corsets appeared in the second half of the nineteenth century. The laces could be let out as the abdomen grew. After the birth, the corset could still be worn as a nursing corset. The laces could be pulled tight at the waist again, while the press studs over the breast could be undone so that the mother could feed the baby.
